Pollen Smasher™ – 8T Hydraulic Rosin Press

The maximum heat level for this machine is 250°C

20g material per pressing at a 27.5% yield = 5.5g concentrate / pressing. Twenty (20) presses per hour would yield approximately 110g of concentrate per hour.

Note: All yields are estimates and depend on a number of variables, including but not limited to the following: quality of material, type and size of pressing bags, pressing temperature, and more.

There are five recommended ways that will contribute to producing a higher quality resin:

• • Choose the best materials: Make sure you choose the best quality plant for your budget. Pressing the material as soon as it’s been dried and cured will play a massive role in achieving a higher quality resin. 
  • Choose the best humidity: It is recommended that for best results the relative humidity content of the plant should be between 55%-62%. In order, to determine the relative humidity it is advised that you invest in a hygrometer.  
  • Choose the best temperature: The amount of heat and pressure applied to your material by the heated plate will determine the speed and consistency that the trichomes liquify. It is down to preference what heat you have it on and as some people prefer a quick hot press rather than slow press at lower temperature.  A cold press at 160°F/71°C – 190°F/87°C for 1 – 5 minutes will produce a thick, batter-like consistency with excellent terpene preservation, however, this is known to produce lower yields. A hot ress at 190°F/87°C – 220°F/104°C for 45 seconds – 3 minutes will  produce an oily or shatter-like consistency product with excellent terpene preservation at 220°F or below which will produce higher yields than the cold press.
  • Choose the right micron bags: Using filter bags to prevent material getting into your final product are highly recommended.
  • Choosing the correct pressure: Similar to temperature and time, applying the right amount of pressure can be tricky. If you apply not enough pressure and it won’t be enough to separate out the oils; apply too much pressure and you get what’s called a “blow out”, where plant material leaches into your concentrate. Ideally, pressure ranging from 550 psi to 1500 psi is good for flower rosin, with maximum quality occurring at the lower end of that range.

In order to get the highest amount of yield possible we highly advise using one of our pollen press products. For this rosin press we would recommend our Rectangular Pre-Press Mould. Pressing your material before you’ve started the rosin pressing process will guarantee a higher amount of resin is produced.

The Pollen Smasher rosin press has a hydraulic compressive mechanism.

There is only machine that we sell that produces a higher amount of resin and that is our Pollen crusher. This machine can still produce rosin yields of up to 27.5%.

Press and hold the set button, you should then see a Lot appear on the screen.

Press the up button until the number 88 is reached in the Lot settings.

Press the set button again to toggle through the device settings until you reach the CF on the screen which is the temperature settings.

Here you can press the down button to change the device settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa. 

Press and hold the set button to confirm and go back to the home screen.

Whilst you’re on the home screen, press and hold the up button to reset the counter to 0000.

Next, rotate the hydraulic jack release anti-clockwise to open the plates if they’re closed.

You need to set the control panel up so to do this press the set button to go to the temperature setting mode – press the up or down buttons to select your desired temperature.

Press the set button once again to confirm your desired temperature which should also move onto the time mode.
